One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied: "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

THE MEMORIES OF MY MOTHER
Written by: LAN HUYNH Mrs. NGO's Youngest Daughter
Our Mom had health problem for several years. Her heart failed suddenly and unexpectedly on a Saturday afternoon. We did not have a chance to say "goodbye" or "I love you" to her. We know spending those last moments with her was an honor, and it will live in our mind forever. Life will never be the same, since the angels have called our Mom home. We miss her more and more each and every day! We are still filled with so much pain and sorrow. We love you Mom so much and I know you are in Heaven and you will prepare a place for us, so we can all meet again somedays.

Our Mom married to our Dad for 35 years. They had nine wonderful children together. Our mom was a kind and gentle person. She loved and lived for her family. She loved her family with unconditional love. She worked all her life to give to her family. Our Dad was her world, everything she did revolved around him. I guess love is the strongest force on earth it helps us overcome all obstacles in life.

Our Mom worked from a very young age. She had three sisters and two brothers. She lost her father at the young age. Her mother passed away when our Mom was at the age of twenty-nine. We were very lucky to have our Mom in our lives. Our Mom is not gone... she went home to our Lord. It comforts us to know she is with her parents who she missed so much and other family members who have passed.

Our Mom was always happy, smiling, laughing, enjoying life. The way she made everyone around her feel loved and welcomed. Now, we see she was an Angel sending to us on loan by our Lord. Heaven needed another bright light and called our Mom. We will always find comfort in knowing our Mom was happy and loved her life on earth. She will be missed by those whose lives she has touched in her very short life.

Our Mom loved being and spending time with us and we were very important to her. She loved and cared for her children with all her life and always put them first. She was so proud of all of us. She was a wonderful and loving wife and mother; a loving and caring daughter, sister, and friend to many. She never realized how many people she touched in her life. Everyone who knew her, loved her more than life itself. She was truly an amazing, love, understanding, laughter, and fun person full of life.

Her trademark was her smiles and her pleasant personality. You couldn't help but love her. People who just met her for the first time was touched by her carefree ways. A room would brighten when our Mom came in with her beautiful smiles. She loved to make people smile and laugh. I once read that, "if you have a sense of humor and can make people laugh, its the best way to display your blessed by the Lord because you enrich souls."

I truly believe that our Mom was blessed by the Lord, because she brought so much Joy and laughter to people, she enriched so many lives for her short time with us. Our mom was a gift and an inspiration to our family, and she lives forever in our hearts. We know that she is with God now, enjoying the peace and joy of His love, and that she is watching over us and waiting for us in Heaven. We have only to think of her, and she will be with us, reminding us that we are still in the arms of her love, God’s love, and the love of each other.

I have been dealing with real-life everyday and it is not always easy and smooth. I have had an easy day or a rough day. I wish you were still here to give me advises of what to do. You taught me how to love and how to be a good person. I will always be proud to be your daughter, Mom. I will always remember you and I will treasure every moment I have had with you. I will always miss and love you so much Mom. Your memories will always be in my heart. Thank you so very much for giving me the opportunity to be your child. You were my wonderful mom, my great teacher, and my very special friend. When you were gone I was still young. I did not have to deal with a real-life yet. You were and still are always helping me. Without you I can't be who I am today. Thank you for the wonderful gift of life you had given me Mom.

Thank you, Mother for all the rare gifts you gave with your life. You were a wonderful parent who any children could have ever wished for. You will always be remembered for your passion, strength and ceaseless courage that became your hallmark. In pictures, in memories, and in spirit we will love you forever." You are forever loved and eternally missed in our hearts. We always love and remember you for eternity, but we know that we will see you again someday. Please rest in peace until we meet again, Mom. May Buddha bless and comfort you.

THE MEMORIES OF MY MOTHER
Written by: HONG P. HUYNH Mrs. NGO's Youngest Son
The morning when I received the news that my mother passed away in a hospital, I was completely in shock. I remember I was at home at that time. I didn’t know what to do but standing at the door for hours, and looked outside, because I still hoped that my mother would walk through that door in any second, and hoped that news was just a horrible misunderstanding… But no matter how much I tried to convince myself that my mother would come home, I also knew that I would not see her ever again…

I wish I could tell her that I really appreciate everything she did for me. I would love to tell her that how important she was in my life. I would tell her she was a wonderful mother. I wish I could hold her and just hear her voice just one more time. Most of all, I wish I could tell her that I respectfully love her. Unfortunately, I was very young when my mother passed away; therefore, now I grow up, I feel like I have not done anything useful for my mother. She gave me everything that I needed, and now I cannot do even one little thing for her…

In deed, she was a wonderful mother, who always loved her children unconditionally. She was a caring person with a great heart and she always shared her love to everyone around her. There were hundreds of people came to her funeral. They all sincerely said to my family that my mother was a wonderful person and she did change their life in many ways.

I am a youngest kid in the family. I remember when I was a little, whenever I was sad or angry; I always ran to my mother and cried in her arms. She always kissed me and had a magical way to calm me down. She taught me many valuable lessons in this life. One of those lessons, which I still remember to today, was learning to love myself and to accept my fate. I will always remember the lessons she gave me as long as I live…

My mother gave her entire life to her family. There was not any second in her life that she did not think about her husband and children. I regret everyday that I did not have a chance to tell her how important her love was to me. I regret everyday that I could not see how difficult she had to go through, especially when she was really sick. I regret everyday that I took everything for granted when I was around her. I regret everyday that I will not have that chance to say those magical words, "I love you, mom!" But I do believe that my mother’s spirit is still with me... Yes, I still see my mother in my heavenly dreams, and yes, my mother will be always in my prayers and my heart every night and day…
One day we will meet again. I love you, Mom!

My mom’s love specially has been lengthened our spirit. How extremely she loved her husband, children and grand children. Under her care, we have grown up and figured out the meaning of true-loved mother: She could share all her life for us without thinking of herself. She was a simple woman but the ways she raised her kids were so great. We recognized the value of her time to teach us details how dealing regular basic daily life. Mom, Thanks for all you gave me, and please be happy to look at me: I am trying to do what I have learned from you.

I am so glad that I am one of your nine children. We will care and love each other the best we can, as our religion: we believe you are now an Angle in the Heaven with Our God.

You had to face the difficult time, and when the good time came, you weren’t here with us. Believe in our religion, you fulfilled your fate and paid off your debts. You are now in heaven with our Bible and Our God!

We were so sad as you left us because we loved, missed, and needed you. However, we are happy that you come to fairly world without anxiety as well as You were no longer to suffer difficult time or face tough situation of daily life.

My Mom was with me as such yesterday, But me myself today. Time just goes by, No matter we’re dealing with life. Please be with me and I wish to see again, and again you, Mom. Thinking of you and live on for my present. I love you forever and the rest of my life Mom.

If I could give my mom the world Or anything she wanted, I'd give her my own heart and soul And leave my own heart haunted.
I'd take upon myself her life With all its strife and pain, And let her ease into some space Where she could live again.
The pain for me would not be pain, At least not for a while; For I'd be doing it for her, And I would see her smile.
I wish that I could take her heart And cleanse it with my tears, And make her sorrow go away, And answer all her fears.
I wish, I wish, but then I can't, As I watch helplessly, And take her in my arms and say I wish that it were me.
But loving is a hard, hard way, With all the pain it brings. And yet there is no other way To touch the heart of things.

Written by Charles Mashburn
I found a penny today,
Just laying on the ground,
But it's not just a penny,
This little coin I've found.
Found pennies come from Heaven,
That's what my Grandpa told me,
He said, "Angels toss them down."
Oh, how I loved that story.
He said, "When an angel misses you,
They toss a penny down,
Sometimes just to cheer you up,
To make a smile out of your frown."
So don't pass by that penny
When you're feeling blue,
It may be a penny from Heaven
That an Angel tossed to you.
An Angel is Watching Over You
We all have angels looking over us,
no matter how young or old we might be.
So the next time you are feeling a little blue,
Maybe a penny you find laying on the ground,
Was tossed down from heaven by an angel,
Just for you . . .

My mother passed away on June the twentieth. I loved her deeply; now she's simply gone. All my life I'd known that I was loved, Living in the circle of her arms.
I can't believe her love is not somewhere, So strong it was, so much a part of me. I feel it in the harsh salt of the sea And in the stinging sadness of the wind.
I ride the waves along the rock-strewn shore. No one watches me with fear and pride. Now among the stars I am alone. In her heart I had my only home.

You were my mother and my friend, Which was unusual. Somehow our characters still blend: Your wisdom and my will.
I turned, and you were there for me; I spoke, you understood. I felt cared for, but also free; You loved, and I was good.
I'm fortunate that I was born To someone just like you; I love you still. Though you are gone, You live in what I do.

God blessed and sent me to an angel called Mother. Someone loving, to stand by me in the good and not so good times Someone sacrificing, who provided for me even if she had to do without herself Someone nurturing, who held and comforted me through childhood hurts and pains with her soothing voice and gentle touch Someone wise, who saw what I was unable to see in situations and especially in people Someone who gave advice generously, even when I did not want it And usually, often to my dismay, ended up being right I want to thank that someone For all she did and all she has been But most of all I want to thank God for blessing me with such a wonderful friend to help me in my journey through life Thank you, Heavenly Father, For my own personal angel -- MY MOTHER.

Our mother is the sweetest and Most delicate of all. She knows more of paradise Than angels can recall.
She's not only beautiful But passionately young, Playful as a kid, yet wise As one who has lived long.
Her love is like the rush of life, A bubbling, laughing spring That runs through all like liquid light And makes the mountains sing.
And makes the meadows turn to flower And trees to choicest fruit. She is at once the field and bower In which our hearts take root.
She is at once the sea and shore, Our freedom and our past. With her we launch our daring ships Yet keep the things that last.

GOD made a wonderful mother, A mother who never grows old; He made her smile of the sunshine, And He molded her heart of pure gold; In her eyes He placed bright shining stars, In her cheeks, fair roses you see; God made a wonderful mother, And He gave that dear mother to me.
Mother, you filled my days with rainbow lights, fairytales and sweet dream nights, A kiss to wipe away my tears, Gingerbread to ease my fears. You gave the gift of life to me, And then in love, you set me free. I thank you for your tender care, for deep warm hugs and being there. I hope that when you think of me, A part of you, you'll always see.

A Mother's love is something that no one can explain, It is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain, It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may For nothing can destroy it or take that love away . . . It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking, And it never fails or falters even though the heart is breaking . . . It believes beyond believing when the world around condemns, And it glows with all the beauty of the rarest, brightest gems . . . It is far beyond defining, it defies all explanation, And it still remains a secret like the mysteries of creation . . . A many splendoured miracle man cannot understand And another wondrous evidence of God's tender guiding hand.

From seeds You watered us.
As we sprouted You helped us grow With the warmth Of your radiant love.
Along the way You trimmed us To keep us safe From Harm.
When we grew out of Our little pods, You replanted us, Where you gave us hope And showed us faith That we may be able To do for others As you did for us.

When you have a mother who cares so much for you that anything you want becomes her desires When you have a mother who is so understanding that no matter what is bothering you she can make you smile When you have a mother who is so strong that no matter what obstacles she faces she is always confident in front of you When you have a mother who actively pursues her goals in life but includes you in all her goals you are very lucky indeed Having a mother like this makes it easy to grow up into a loving, strong adult Thank you for being this kind of wonderful mother.

When we do well she embraces us. When we fall short she encourages us. When our spirits are low she lifts them up. SHE'S A MOTHER and the best friend. We will ever find.
The love that parents give us, Is one of life's most special things, And there's no way to measure, All the happiness it brings.

The beauty of a woman Is not in the clothes she wears, The figure that she carries, Or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, Because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, But true beauty in a woman Is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives, The passion that she shows, And the beauty of a woman With passing years-only grows!
You don't stop laughing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop laughing

We have the POWER to make this a better world. We have the TOOLS of love, friendship, and support. We have the ENERGY to see each other through Challenges. We have the STRENGTH to give support when one of Us is weak. We have FAITH, that together, we can handle any situation We have enough LOVE to see beyond faults. We DESIRE to see each other succeed. We possess enough WISDOM to offer solutions to Problems. We share the knowledge that UNITED no outside force Can defeat us. We are one; ROOTED and GROUNDED in GOD, We are... family.

Music is such a universal language, it can make you happy, it can make you sad. It can bring families and friends together for many joyous hours of fun.
We would like to dedicate the favorite Vietnamese song about motherhood to you:
